#8 Consentful Interface
Description
As I explored the concept of voyerism in my experimental camera for assignment #6, I focused on the relationship between the observer and the one being observed. Instead of giving more information, I thought of how one can limit information and create the entire image. How much do we need to reveal to understand? How can use of color help us gather to make image? The pixelated abstraction shows just enough to protect one's privacy and share information. For project #8, I revised #6 by adding a consentful interface, which allows the user to control the amount of information given with the sliding bar.

Reflection
This project was interesting in that it made me reflect upon the way camera operates, and how much consent we give technology or how much technology violates our rights. My camera fulfills the FRIES, since it lets the user have freedom to reveal or veil what/how much information they want to give. With the pixelation control, the user can play around with the visual queue. If I were to further develop the camera, I'd also like to add selection for filters such as blur, opacity, etc., to give more language options for the user to have when considering FRIES.
